About Uganda Alliance of Patients' Organizations (UAPO)

Who we are : UAPO is a patient-driven, not-for-profit civil society organization. We support research involving Patients with chronic diseases and lifelong conditions to have access to quality patient-centered health-care services. Research: In its research work, UAPO seeks to build partnerships with relevant actors, including researchers, innovators, and academia, to inform Patient groups programs. UAPO acknowledges that information is a resource without which it becomes challenging to make meaningful Advocacy and capacity building. Therefore, UAPO intends to design and implement research programs with a strong focus on research to generate evidence on NCD prevention and access to treatment. Our Vision: Patients at the center of healthcare, innovation, research, and development. Our Mission: Facilitating an environment where patients are empowered to actively engage with healthcare providers, policy makers, innovators, and researchers to improve access to quality healthcare services.
