Names were retrievable for 193 records, meaning nearly all entries in the weekly file could be identified through Hipa.ai’s name cache. California led the country with 37 deactivations, or 19% of the weekly total, as the registry marked both individual and organizational records inactive.
California Leads Geographic Activity
California was well ahead of the other states, followed by Ohio with 13 deactivations. Massachusetts, Texas, Florida and New York each recorded 10 deactivations. Colorado, Wisconsin and Oklahoma each posted 8 deactivations, while North Carolina and Illinois each had 7 deactivations.
The remaining states in the leading group included New Jersey with 6 deactivations, Washington and Michigan with 5 deactivations each, and Pennsylvania with 4 deactivations. The distribution points to a broad national pattern, but with activity concentrated in large and established behavioral health markets. California’s total was also influenced by multiple records associated with organizations in Ukiah, while Ohio’s activity included several records in Columbus.
Individuals accounted for 165 deactivations, compared with 28 organizations. That balance shows that the week’s activity was primarily tied to individual provider records, even as organization-level changes contributed to clusters in several cities and states.
Social Work and Counseling Lead
Clinical Social Worker was the most common taxonomy among the named providers, with 33 deactivations, or 17%. Mental Health Counselor followed with 31 deactivations, or 16%, while RBT accounted for 26 deactivations, or 13%. Addiction (Substance Use Disorder) Counselor recorded 19 deactivations, or 10%.
Other prominent categories included Specialist, with 16 deactivations, and Community/Behavioral Health Agency, with 10 deactivations. Counselor, Case Manager/Care Coordinator and Psychologist each recorded 9 deactivations, while Professional Counselor had 8 deactivations. The mix spans licensed clinical roles, counseling specialties, applied behavioral services and organizational providers rather than pointing to a single occupational segment.
What Registry Deactivation Shows
