Interventions
- Placebo — DRUGParticipants will receive a placebo in pill form.
- Gemtesa — DRUGParticipants will receive oral gemtesa (75 mg).
Study Details
We hypothesize vascular beta3 adrenergic receptors are present and functional in aging women and can be targeted to attenuate sympathetic vasoconstriction and enhance vascular function in aging women.

- Experimental: Cold pressor testParticipants will be exposed to the cold pressor test (ice water on the foot).
- Experimental: Flow Mediated DilationParticipants will be exposed to the high-resolution ultrasound following inflation of a cuff around the forearm.
Primary Outcome Measure
Blood flow [ Time Frame: Change from baseline to minute 2. ]
